Preview Soaring Through The Starlight on Lowlands TV

Last weekend at the Lowlands festival there has been an exclusive preview of the video of ‘Soaring Through The Starlight’ on Lowlands TV AND IT FUCKING BLEW MY MIND!!! Nils Mühlenbruch & co from Drifter TV has been busting his ass the last three months to animate this extremely ambitious project, and the result is going to be amazing.

You’re gonna have to wait a few more weeks until the official release, hang in there! It’s worth the wait!

Finally some good news about the video for my next single ‘Soaring Through The Starlight’! I’ve been working really hard on several concepts for this track the past few months, and eventually went back to my original idea, which is an animated video!

Initially I dropped this idea because it didn’t seem doable, but my heroic booking agency Alles Los got me into contact with Nils Mühlenbruch, whom you may know from Drifter TV. There was an instant click and we decided to grab this project by the nuts.

The recordings are finished, on location and in a green screen studio. This footage will be rotoscoped afterwards. Nils and his crew will be drawing my moves frame by frame, he won’t be seeing any daylight the next two months. I’m thinking of getting him a UV lamp so he won’t commit suicide after this project.

I meant to release this video sooner, but I’d rather take a little more time and give you a mind blowing son of a bitch video. SO DON’T GIMME NO BACKTALK.

I would like to thank everyone that came to my shows the last few days! Holy fuck, I had one supersized portion of party, it was amazing! Boys frantically eating herring at the front row, girls with ‘I Want A Pony’ banners and I found myself some hot ass dancers in orange suits (see video link below)

Big up to Paard van Troje, Oranjepop and Hedon! As for now, I’m going into detox, ’cause I’m practically dead. See you at the next festival!

Call the newspapers! I’m going to be in one of the teams of the quiz in the Nederpopshow, broadcasted on Saturday April 17 on Ned 3 (VPRO). The Nederpopshow isn’t just a quiz, there are also live performances, reports, archive compilations and interviews. C-mon & Kypski are taking care of the mash ups and intermezzos, and Eric Corton presents the whole shebang.

You can be at the recording of this show! I can put 40 of your pretty faces on the guestlist.
The recordings are on Wednesday April 14 at 20:00 in Trouw Gebouw, Amsterdam (Wibautstraat 131)

My new single ‘Soaring Through The Starlight’ is now on iTunes! This track is one of my favorites on ‘No Guts, No Glory’, it came to me as some sort of epiphany, which makes the song pretty special to me.

I am now working on the video for this track, you can expect it soon! As for now, start studying on those lyrics, because I want you all to sing along next time!

The artwork has been made my Ramon Putman, who’s also responsible for my album artwork and t-shirt designs (he rocks!)

5 Days Off – Sencity rocked!

Friday March 5 I played at the Sencity night in de Melkweg during 5 Days Off. It took quite some preparation. My lyrics were being interpreted by signdancers that were on stage with me, and were also subtitled in extra visuals that were made for this particular gig. And as icing on the cake, there was a vibrating dancefloor, yummy snacks and an aroma jockey! This Sencity concept is developed for deaf and partially hearing people, its goal is to stimulate all senses.

I did an video interview with 5 Days Off TV and TMF that night. The TMF interview will be broadcasted in April (Kijk Dit Nou).
